TESCOR COMMISSIONS CONDITIONED AIR SUPPLY SYSTEM FOR ENGINE TESTING AT THE FAA HUGHES TECHNICAL CENTER, NJ

Warminster, PA, November 2004– Tescor, Inc. has commissioned a Conditioned Air Supply System at the FAA facility in Atlantic City, NJ, which will provide combustion air at precisely controlled temperature and humidity conditions to allow accurate and repeatable testing of internal combustion engines under varying ambient conditions.

This sophisticated environmental testing equipment is designed with an instrumentation and control system that monitors all system pressures, temperatures and dew points and regulates them at the desired values. A control panel for each test cell is provided and is wall mounted at each dyno cell control station.

The System delivers Controlled Air Supply conditions while the Air Intake conditions remain within the extremes of winter and summer. For example, dry bulb temperature parameters will range from 95°F in warm weather and 10°F in cold weather.

This particular refrigeration systems utilizes a water-cooled condensing unit with a semi-hermetic compressor, although air-cooled refrigeration systems can be an effective alternate approach.
