NEW PSYCHROMETRIC TEST FACILITY WILL EVALUATE PERFORMANCE OF ROOM AIR CONDITIONERS AND HEAT PUMPS

Warminster, PA, November 2004-- Tescor, Inc. has designed a state-of-the-art Psychrometric Test Facility for use in the development and performance evaluation of room air conditioners and heat pumps for a Fortune 500 air conditioning manufacturer in Carrollton, Texas. The new equipment is presented as two sets of end-to-end Indoor and Outdoor chambers with temperature, humidity and air flow independently controlled.

The Indoor Room only includes an air enthalpy tunnel or code tester which enables precise measurement of capacity and efficiency of air conditioners and heat pumps in accordance with the air enthalpy method described by ASHRAE-37-88.

Tescor designs and builds its Psychrometric Test Rooms to exceed ASHRAE stability and measurement accuracy requirements by a minimum factor of 2 with resulting heat balance agreements exceeding ASHRAE 37 requirements by a factor of 2.

With UUT (Unit Under Test) performance measured in the Indoor Room, this facility achieves an absolute heat imbalance of 3% or better when compared to a unit calibrated by an independent test laboratory.

Tescor offers complete turn-key installation of all its Psychrometric Test Facilities as well as formal training of the customer’s technical personnel in the use and maintenance of the test facility and its associated equipment.
